Just Sheds Donates $1000 to Outward Bound

We have kindly supported Outward Bound with a $1000 donation to help students reach their full potential through challenges in the outdoors. Their classrooms are the mountains, bush and waterways and we love the work that they do. As a mark of appreciation, Outward Bound planted a tree for us in Anakia which will also help enhance biodiversity in this special place. In total, 60 commemorative trees have been planted. Outward Bound chose 6 different natives, one native species for each decade and 10 each. The species they  planted included Kahikatea, Kowhai, Kānuka & Titoki. Our native tree will permanently…

Helping to restore our dunes through the sands of time

At Just Sheds we’re big fans of our coastline, so we’ve recently been helping out with a dune restoration project in the Coromandel. By removing invasive weeds and planting natives – it helps to hold the sand in place, prevent erosion and enables the dunes to restore themselves naturally over time… and it also allows birds to nest underneath.

Tips for Keeping Your Portable Site Office Tidy & Organised

Cleaning and good organisation are two essential parts of any productive office. But while most permanent workplaces have systems in place, portable buildings are temporary. And this transient feel often means well-thought-out cleaning regimes don’t translate to a portable site office. But don’t abandon the rubbish bins and accept a messy workspace just yet – the team at Just Sheds is here to help! Here are our top tips on how to keep your portable building tidy. Establish a cleaning schedule Creating a cleaning schedule and assigning tasks to team members will ensure that your portable site office remains clean.…

Doing Good for our community is something you can bank on.

Rachel, Andrew and Thomas from our Just Sheds team are really proud to have been Doing Good by helping out on the Omokoroa Foodbank Drive 2022 earlier this month. It was a busy night and a huge haul of food was generously donated by the wonderful Omokoroa community. Thankfully they had Andrew and Thomas’s brute strength on hand to lift and carry the heavy boxes of food! There was a great turnout of volunteers on the night who all helped out by going door to door and sorting the food collection at the Omokoroa Community Church. A special thanks to…

Save a bro… with your mo, or dough!

With our fathers partners, brothers and friends facing a health crisis and dying too young, Just Sheds are getting behind Movember to raise awareness and funds for mens mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. While we’re not making any promises on the state of our moustaches – we are promising to donate $50 to this great cause for every new portable building hire until the end of November (or if you prefer we’ll donate it to Save the Kiwi). If you’d like to sign up, grow a mo, or donate some dough as well – visit…

November is a good month for Doing Good!

November is a good month for Doing Good!

At Just Sheds we’ve always been about having fun and doing good in our community. So we’ve decided to do even more good in November by donating $50 for every new portable building hire to the Save the Kiwi and Movember charities. As both of these organisations are doing such amazing work, and are such worthwhile causes, we’ve decided to let you choose which one you’d like to donate to when you hire a new portable building until the end of November. In the meantime if you’d like to help them out some more as well, you can donate online…

Save the Kiwi, and save the day (and night)

Save the Kiwi, and save the day (and night)

While kiwi used to thrive in New Zealand and numbered in their millions, over the past few hundred years the widespread clearing of forests and the introduction of predators has seen their numbers demise substantially – as our forests that were once loud with the call of kiwi now increasingly fall silent. At Just Sheds we can’t imagine Aotearoa without the kiwi either… so To keep helping their great conservation cause we’ll donate $50 to Save the Kiwi for every new portable building hire until the end of November (or if you prefer we’ll donate it to Movember). In the…
